In November 1988, Bungy pioneers AJ Hackett and Henry van Asch jumped into the world spotlight by launching the world’s first commercially operated Bungy Jumping Site, off the historic Kawarau Bridge. With over 27 years of operating experience the Kawarau Bridge Bungy is now complemented by the purpose built Bungy Centre and is renowned as one of the most exhilarating things to do in Queenstown.

This is the ‘world home of Bungy’, birthplace of the adventurous spirit that has shaped Queenstown’s character and one of the most famous attractions in New Zealand.
